Copper is mineral found in our body responsible to make red blood cells, absorption of iron and maintain strong immune health.
Common food sources rich in copper include shellfish such as oyster, crab, as well as plant sources such as green vegetables and sunflower seeds.
Most of us consume enough copper from diet; however certain conditions such as celiac disease, cystic fibrosis, Crohn's disease and had a stomach surgery increase a person's risks of copper deficiency. Symptoms that may be present include low energy levels, poor immune health, pale skin, always feeling cold etc.
