Cinnamon aids in blood sugar control in multiple ways. It decelerates the breakdown of carbohydrates (e.g. rice, noodles, bread) into simple sugar. Next, it decreases the amount of glucose that enters our bloodstream after a meal. Lastly, it improves insulin sensitivity therefore increasing glucose uptake into our cells to be used as energy.
