Phosphatidylserine
Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a type of phospholipid that is needed by every body cell, and is especially abundant in nerve cells.
It is crucial for the maintenance of healthy cell membranes. Although the brain could produce enough PS, the production declines as we age, which can result in deficiency. Research has shown that supplementation of PS (most commonly derived from soybean) could help reduce symptoms of depression and Alzheimer's disease, and to enhance memory and learning abilities.
