Artichoke originates from the Mediterranean region and is a type of vegetable belonging to the thistle family. It is well-known for its benefits to balance blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure and promote digestive, heart and liver health.
Artichoke contains an antioxidant called luteolin, that discourages the formation of cholesterol. It is also high in potassium content which is responsible for lowering blood pressure. Lastly, it improves the health of liver by increasing the production of bile, which removes toxins from our liver.
