Green tea extract is rich in polyphenol antioxidants, and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), a well researched antioxidant.
Green tea extract protects cell against the damaging effect of free radicals, and may aid weight loss.
Tea is widely consumed drink in the world next to water. All varieties of tea (white, black, oolong and green) come from the same plant, Camellia Sinensis. Among the varieties, white and green teas have higher antioxidant and lesser caffeine content.
