Omega-9 fatty acids are non-essential as our body can make them using other fatty acids.
Oleic acid is the most abundant form of Omega-9 fatty acids in many vegetable oils. It is also the most abundant fatty acids found in human's cell membranes and plasma. Omega-9 fatty acids has anti-inflammatory properties and can benefits cardiovascular health. .
Common food sources include vegetable oils (e.g. olive, grapeseed and safflower), avocado, and nuts (e.g. almond, peanut and walnut).
